Our hand-poured candles are all-natural and scented ONLY with essential oils and plant-derived waxes. We crafted the our recipes with aromatherapy candles in mind. The botanical extracts are provided to you in their glorious molecular nature to bring you close to the Earth Mother.

Real Essential Oil Candles

We only use real essential oils to scent our candles, unlike department store brands who claim to use "essential oils and safe synthetic fragrance ingredients". Synthetic fragrances are tested for their safety by the same companies who produce them, which results in minimal oversight by third parties. Most fragrance oils are derived from petroleum. You wouldn't want to drink trace amounts of petroleum, so why breathe it in?

Soy Wax Candles vs. Paraffin Candles

Once again, there is an insidious ingredient to many candles: Paraffin wax is derived from petroleum, coal, or oil shale. Burning a candle with a paraffin wax base is essentially huffing plastics. Our eco-friendly candles use a soybean and rice base, which result in a calm, even burn.

We tested a number of wicks to find the one with the best burn and atmosphere. We figured out the best wicks for clean-burning soy candles. The lead-free cotton wicks give a nice glow and burn evenly. Sea Witch Botanicals natural scented candles burn for about 40-60 hours for our 10 oz. candles, and 12-15 hours for our 3 oz. minis. Allow candles to burn 1-3 hours at a time for best performance.
